I didn’t have much experience with design prior to college, but I have always been full of curiosity. I used to think that design was used to make things pretty and delightful. However, in the BFA program I have gained a new understanding of what design can do. I learned that design has purpose. The colors I choose and the elements I apply have to have reason. It isn’t just about making things look appealing, but to also deliver deep meaning to people. So far, I am proud of what I have learned from the BFA program.
