Chako Shinmoto

Growing up, I was a chaotic artist and my artwork was always all over the place. When I was not happy with my projects, I would scrap it up, throw it, burn it, and start all over again. Sometimes I go back and pick up the scraps, and love it again. I learned to combine my passion with reason, my chaos with control, and my art with design. In the last 2 years, the BFA program has taught me how to be confident and adventurous with people and design. In my free time, I like to Freedive in the Monterey Bay or hike overnight taking photos of the stars
